Avoid going crackers this Christmas and use my Christmas hacks for a stress free, joy filled season.

I have shared many of these tips and tricks before but wanted to have them all together in a handy blog post, so please enjoy The Christmas Hackers. Christmas is definitely creeping up earlier and earlier each year, see my previous post on why I don’t mind this fact! With earlier Christmas pressure comes anxiety and stress and so to help alleviate some of that I wanted to shared.
LIGHTS
Wrapping up your lights properly avoids chaos the following year!
For a budget friendly solution with smaller numbers of lights, so for my garlands for example, I simply wrap around a pringles tube to avoid tangles. Check my Instagram page for a reel on this one.
With larger sets of lights – for example on my tree I have 2000 and 1000 light sets, so I use a Christmas light wheel – the one I have is from Dunnes and again it just keeps the lights free from twists and knots. Much easier for storing and taking down and for putting back up the following year.
One other tip for putting up the lights is to mark where you place the very last bulb. I use a hair bobbin in a different colour so that I start at that point when I begin to wrap my lights onto the tree light reel.
WRAPPING STATION
By keeping all wrapping paper, Sellotape, scissors, gift bags, cards, ribbon etc all together in one storage product helps when it is wrap time! Are you a wrapper or not? I wrap everything and so this product is so handy to keep everything contained and organised. Plus it makes it easier to see when you have to replenish your stock!
My top tip in terms of wrapping presents is to wrap as the presents come into the house. So as you buy wrap and put under the tree (if possible!)

TABLE PLAN
I usually set my Christmas table on Christmas eve – just to have one less job to do on the day itself. I love a table scape and there are some very easy napkin folds to really elevate your table!

CHRISTMAS STATION
I LOVE my Christmas station – it is a simple box to store all of the things I will need at hand on the big day itself. From matches, scissors, tape, headache tablets to an extra gift voucher just in case anyone calls that you didn’t expect to see! I will have another reel on my Instagram to show what I keep in my Christmas Station. Don’t forget to include Prosecco!
